文化交流を通じて子どもたちの笑顔を引き出すことができました！日本の折り紙やけん玉を知ってもらうだけでなく、私たちもバリのダンスなどの文化を身近に感じることができてとてもよかったと思います。コスチューム作りでも子どもたちが少ない素材からいろいろなものを思い思いに生み出しているのを見て、子どもたちの発想や創造力に感動しました。また、作った紙飛行機などを大事に持って帰ろうとしてくれているのを見て、作ったものに責任を持ち、大切にするという意味でSDGsにも繋がっていると思いました。子どもたちからたくさん吸収できてとても楽しい1日でした！
Through cultural exchange, we were able to bring smiles to the children’s faces! Not only did we introduce them to Japanese origami and kendama, but we also had the wonderful opportunity to experience Balinese dance and other aspects of Balinese culture firsthand. While making costumes, I was deeply moved by the children’s imagination and creativity as I watched them use limited materials to create all sorts of things however they pleased. Also, seeing them carefully pack up the paper airplanes and other items they’d made to take home made me realize that this connects to the SDGs in terms of taking responsibility for and cherishing what they’ve created. I learned so much from the children—it was a truly enjoyable day!
Hi Shiho, it sounds like the children had a great time. I noticed that many of them asked me to sign my name on the paper airplane. I think they will keep and cherish that piece of paper.
